It was hard to separate reality from the dream world once inside the magnificently-designed sanctuary created at the Pierre Hotel. Dejuan Stroud and Frost Productions designed a stained-glass sanctuary accented by lush springtime cherry blossoms which served as the backdrop for a truly one-of-a-kind spiritual service. Lexi's Torah reading was so beautiful, so personal, so wonderfully inclusive of each member of her family that it was truly awe-inspiring. Door to Door Tutoring's Leader, Joel Cohen helped Lexi prepare and lead the service which featured a mesmerizing duet performance by Lexi's sister Gabby and Auntie Carol. As mentioned in Crains New York Business, creating a uniquely personalized service that was inclusive of the entire family was of paramount importance.
"At our synagogue we would have had to share her service, and our very large family wasn't going to be able to have enough participation," said Melissa Rosenbloom, Lexi's mom. "We wanted a very personal service."
Last Fall, we captured Lexi for her save the date (at the piano) and fashion shoot and wanted to showcase a few of these gems to kick-off this blog post. It sets the stage for what would become one of the most near and dear events for us to capture for our very good friends Melissa, Lawrence, Gabby and Lexi. The luncheon at The Pierre was a perfectly pink elegant affair that featured a rousing vocal performance by Lexi for her guests. Later that night it was time to really cut loose and celebrate - Lexi even was "flash-mobbed," her grandmother Harriette Rose Katz put on her dancing shoes and even her own dogs received an honorary candle! Jennifer Gould designed a swanky room inside The Harmonie Club that featured a showcase-worthy chandelier inside the bar. Total Entertainment delivered a 1-2 punch with a smokin' hot dj/live band mashup. There were really too many moments to recap, so I'll just let the photographs do the talking. Love you so much Lexi!!!
